Product Development : From watercolor to Finished Tea Towel

My first round of tea towels have hit my shops. They look so good.

There are two designs. Both are created from hand painted watercolor artwork that I sell as art prints at in-person shows.

I mocked up the designs in Photoshop and printed a test on pieced together copy paper. I made a bunch of adjustments, held my breath, and uploaded the files to the printer’s website. My first designs for tea towels!

If you don’t know, I am rather obsessed with kitchen textiles. This is an exciting product for me to work on.

The Tea Towels are 26 inches square, 100% Cotton, Floursack Fabric. A hang loop is sewn into one corner. They make a great gift and can be used to wrap a book or wine bottle, hang as café curtains, keep baked goods warm, and dry dishes too!

Check them out here in my shop and in my Etsy store.
